Types of Widgets

In the widget creation, you are able to select among different types of widgets based on your needs. The four widget types are Report, Grouping, Conditional Grouping and Timeline.
Comidor enables you to create your visual reports based on three graph types (Text, Pie, Column) as well as create bar charts, pie charts, etc.

See below some examples.

Report

In Report type, you should select Text as the graph type, select the entity you want, define Aggregation and the Date field in order to display the report correctly.

You can use Count on ID, to measure how many records this entity has in total.

Alternatively, you can use Count/Sum on another numeric field of the selected entity.

Grouping

Graph type can be either a column or a pie chart. Select the entity you want and define Aggregation. Do not forget to select the Group field you wish the data to be grouped by.

  • You can use Aggregation Sum on a numeric field if you wish to get a report with a summary of the values of all entries in a specific field. For example, the IT department requested 15 new employees, the HR Department requested 17 new employees and the Marketing and Sales Departments both requested 5 new employees.

  • You can use Aggregation Count on a numeric field if you wish to get a report with the total instances of each value of this specific field. For example, the IT Department requests were 5 in total.

Conditional Grouping

By selecting Conditional Grouping as type, fields to define the Labels and their conditions are available. Graph type can be either a column or a pie chart. Select the Entity you want and define Aggregation.

For example, a process may have several states (Opened, Scheduled, Running, etc.). In this widget we can monitor only the Running and Completed processes. So, we select Count on ID (how many processes), set State as Group field, add “Completed state” and “Running state” in the Label fields and the Code that each state has in the Condition.

Timeline

In type timeline, choose Column as the graph type, select the entity you want, define Aggregation and the Date field.

  1. Choose Column as Graph type
